We are at the plumbing set out stage in a bathroom reno and would appreciate views on bathroom mixer tap placement.

I wonder if it w. Wall mounted taps add style and luxury to a bathroom and can suit contemporary or traditional looks. I remember when the renovation work was going on at my home my dad contacted artistic refinishing. The faucet is generally placed low 12 to 18 inches above the rim of the bathtub.

For kids spaces you might want to have the height top out at 33 inches so that it s easier for them to reach the faucet. If we choose to wall mounted taps we will have the opportunity to choose what height to take but we ll have to take action on the bathroom wall. They require a bit more work and planning than regular taps but the rewards are obvious in how fantastic they look. The spout should not protrude past the waste hole in the basin.

The thing to keep top of mind is the height of the person using the space. The plumber has centred the tap over the basin which skews the mixer plate to the right of the basin. Shower mixers should be placed 1000 1200mm above floor level and bath mixers should be installed around 100mm above bath for easy reach. If our choice is on a mixer support we will have the opportunity to mount it on the side surface of the same basin or on the support surface which rests washbasin wooden shelves marble ceramic.
